Broken like I'm never gonna heal

That's the way I'm feeling at the moment. Fragile and delicate and in pieces. (Thank you Lady Antebellum for the line).

There are a lot of changes a foot in the blushing peonies household and some stormy seas ahead.

I don't go in to too much deep and meaningful detail on my blog, I prefer to keep things light hearted but after a really REALLY rough 5 years and when we thought we saw light at the end of the tunnel, we have been stamped on yet again. The past fortnight has been horrendous. Lots of tears and sleepless nights but the one thing which did cheer my sorry soul is this:

My wonderful Sister surprised me with this beautiful card with such heartfelt words inside and this collection of goodies. She also got me a tub of my favourite Ben and Jerrys ice-cream.

So although things look really bleak at the moment, it is at times like these I realise I am loved and for that I am so very thankful.

  1. I'm so sorry to hear this, but I'm sure you're strong and can get through this. Sometimes life can be unfair and just really crappy. You're thinking you've taken enough, suffered enough, paid your dues - and then you get stomped on all over again. I'm certain that everything that happens to us is a lesson and/or a challenge. But that doesn't make it less difficult. Still, you're loved, and that's something to be overjoyed about! Thank you for the comment on my blog!

    1. Thank you Sascha. I agree I think everything that happens to us is a lesson, it just seems that we are in 'homework overload' at the moment. But I am strong and I am sure we will get through this, it will just take time and some readjustment along the way. x

That sister of yours sounds Heaven sent, I'll have to let my sissie read this post in hope that she'll do the same when the time comes!

    1. Thanks Nicola, sometimes you just got to put it out there so to speak. Blogs can't always be fluffy and pink ;) and I like to share what and how I'm feeling and hopefully I can help others along the way. (Sorry about making you hungry for cake though!) x

  9. Really sorry to read this, Kay. I know your posts are normally more cheery but sometimes it's nice to read what's really going on in a bloggers life, just wish yours was under positive circumstances!

On the bright side it sounds like you have a great family who will be with you and support you no matter what happen... and to bring you delicious cakes in between of course! ha

Hope you're feeling better soon and everything works out ok! My thoughts are with you x
