Oooh look at the state of my cuticles :( |
I (probably the same as you) am SO over the winter and in my attempt to get Spring to...well...spring have cracked open my nudes collection.
I'm a funny old thing, I tend to wear polish on my finger nails right through the autumn and winter months but come the warmer days, I usually forgo painting my fingers and opt for brighter colours on my tootsies, but as it is still so blumming cold, my trotters are STILL encased in boots and 3 pairs of socks, so I'm sticking with painting the nails on my fair hands. Is anyone the same as me?
For those of you who have read previous posts, you will note I wear a lot of Essie polishes. I have tried so many other brands over the years and I was thrilled when my local(ish) Boots started stocking Essie. There is just something I find different about their polishes. Aside from the brush, which in my book is just perfect, the consistency of the product is second to none. I find it to be quite a thick but not gloopy polish and it just suits my nail bed down to the ground.
Why do my hands look SO shiny here?! |
This colour is quite 'white' if you know what I mean (don't think it fully translates in these pics), so it took me a bit of getting use to. I'd call it a marshmallow pink and I think it will look really good come the summer time. If we ever get any sun that is :(
So what colours are you lovelies rocking on your nails at present? Let me know if there is anything out there that you think I really should purchase.
Have a great weekend!
I am an Essie fan - seems to be all I wear at the moment! Love the nudes too - think Spring should definitely spring soon!!
ReplyDeleteGod I hope so, this weather really is the pits isn't it?! I am so over all the dark wintery polishes and I want to crack open the nudes. Come on Spring hurry up! x
DeleteMy trotters are exactly the same Kay - extremely neglected at the moment! I haven't tried Essie polishes yet but I will this year! I know you and Claire above love them! Liking this nude - looks very sophisticated girl! x
ReplyDeleteDefinitely try them Jenny, Boots have another 3 for 2 offer on so you could get something then :) (I am costing you money again ooops). Looking at the current weather I don't think our trotters will be making an appearance any time soon :( (Currently have a pair of tights, a pair of socks and my slippers on!) x
DeleteHi I love Essie nails polish. :) That's a very pretty pink colour. xx

Thanks Jennie, I think it will look so pretty when the sun eventually arrives and we can break out the summer clothes! x
DeleteWas going to say this in my reply to your comment, but thought it's probably best to post it on your blog! How do you get light nail colour so solid and even? When I use light coloured nail polish it always looks awful, I either layer it up too much or it just looks too sparse. This never happens with dark colours and it's so annoying, because I love light nail polish. x
ReplyDeleteI've emailed you back hun x
DeleteI've wanted to try this shade for so long, definitely have to, perfect for summer

ReplyDeleteThanks Elle, it really is quite like marshmallows isn't it! x
DeleteI love Essie polishes, they are the best, they are the only ones I buy now. Slave to habits. This colour is beautiful on you too! I am with you on the winter, I want to go out without a jacket now please!
